Orkney Beremeal Oatcakes
These oatcakes are made using bere barley, which is an ancient grain grown in the far North of Scotland. This barley suits our island’s climate, is often known as the ‘Viking’ grain and is milled using traditional methods at the Barony Mill, Orkney’s only working water mill.Beremeal is known for its earthy, nutty flavour, is rich in certain vitamins and minerals and is the key ingredient in our traditional Orkney oatcakes, giving them their distinctive yet delicate flavour.
Mini Original Oatcakes
Our Stockan's Mini Original oatcakes have the same great taste as our course milled Thick Oatcakes but are served in bite sized portions! They are perfect for any occasion whether it be for snacking, children’s lunch boxes or for canapes.
