March is proving to be super busy! We were at ScotHot at the start of the month - and had a brilliant time! The show was well organised, and we were part of the Scotland Food and Drink pavilion. We were visited by not one, but TWO MSP's - Richard Lochead MSP and Fergus Ewing MSP, who came round to try our new Beremeal Oatcake trials, which they loved (obviously ;)!)
The exhibition coincided with Scottish Tourism week - so there was lots going on. We also attend the Scotland Food and Drink AGM on Tuesday 3rd of March and the STA 'Dinner with a Difference' in the Glasgow Science Centre on Wednesday 4th of March! We made canapes for the event using Orkney Cheese and chutney's from Orkney Isles preserves - so we were repping Orkney in a big way! We enjoyed chatting to journalists, bloggers and those working in the tourism industry - telling them they should come to Orkney and try all our food! (no one needed persuading).
We made lots of new friends, and particularly enjoyed our time with Gigha Halibut (more info at bottom of the page), Ramsays of Carluke and SummerHouse Drinks!
We had a mad few days but thoroughly enjoyed the show, catching up with customers and meeting new ones!
Look up Gigha Halibut HERE and give them a follow on Twitter HERE - We love them :) Their smoked fish is award winning, and the best!
