Stockan’s Beremeal Oatcakes have been nominated for the 2019/2020 Orkney Food and Drink awards in the best bakery-based product category.
We are very proud of our Beremeal Oatcakes which are baked using Beremeal milled at Barony Mill, Birsay. Bere is an ancient six row form of barley which is only grown in Orkney and in some other parts of the North of Scotland. Products made with Beremeal are becoming increasingly popular as it has been recognised as being low in gluten and high in vitamins and minerals.
