We’re delighted that Orkney is hosting the 2025 International Island Games taking place from 12th to 18th July.
Travelling from around the world, from 24 member islands, over 2000 competitors and officials will compete in 12 sports, including archery, badminton, gymnastics, swimming and sailing.
Based in Stromness, we’re proud to play a small part in welcoming athletes, supporters, and visitors to Orkney, as we see the Island Games as an opportunity to showcase the spirit, talent and sense of community that make these islands so special.
Our oatcakes are full of high fibre, energy producing wholegrain oats which could even help all those involved throughout their day and perhaps win medals! So we’re excited to welcome everyone to experience the Orkney Islands for themselves in July.
