All Great Taste award-winning products have been taste tested by multiple judges, with only the best-approved entries receiving an award. With thousands of entries judged every year, it’s a real achievement to receive the highly coveted Great Taste Award stars
This year, we’re delighted to have received our sixth Great Taste Award in four years, a 1-star award for our best-selling Orkney Thick Oatcakes!
For decades we’ve been baking these well-known and loved traditional triangle-shaped oatcakes and are over the moon that the judges think they’re still “a very good example of an oatcake”. High in fibre and suitable for vegans, our Thick Oatcakes are baked with coarse ground oats for a delicious crunchy texture and can be enjoyed on their own or paired with any sweet or savoury topping. They’re widely available in Scotland and can be found in larger Tesco and Waitrose stores, all Booths and many independent retailers, farm shops and delis across the rest of the UK.
